Starting Out

Where to begin is what most will ask. There are several great websites that offer FREE access to begin your family tree. But it is truly how much time and effort you want to spend on working on your tree. What do these companies consider as FREE?

To begin start with a simple tree, with your immediate family, and what you know, then you can grow your tree from there. *Reminder, whatever documents you find, copy and save to your computer.

Websites to use:

familysearch.org (ALWAYS FREE)

https://familysearch.org/register/

ancestry.com
Subscribe: http://www.ancestry.com/

FREE: guest user ancestry account:

The above are just a few of the websites available.

Be sure whatever site you are going to use, make sure it is an established company.
It is best to read about recommendations and common complaints from various customers
on the company's facebook website or other sites. Gain some insight, make your own decision.
