Where to get and order the record when you find a record as listed.
Using as an example, I have the record for George William Jennings Scott.

I search, and find the following.

When ordering the Record for Naturalization. I would also include a copy of the reference from ancestry.com for exact lookups, and there is no confusion as to what record you are ordering.

We will provide copies from "List of Immigrants..." as indexed by Ancestry.com. Please provide the immigrant's name and the source volume and reference as given by Ancestry.com. The information found in these seven volumes was abstracted from the original naturalization petitions by members of WPGS as the society's first project after its formation in the 1970s. All information on each document was transcribed, but the type and quantity of information varies greatly from one entry to the next. Please refer to Ancestry.com's database description for details on what you should expect.
**Naturalization Index for Allegheny County, 1790-1906. The Index provides date of Declaration of Intent, country of birth, date of naturalization and sponsor. After 1906 the index files are maintained downtown in the Department of Court Records.

Now after the recent discovery, I now know that Catherine Dorman Scott's parents were John Dorman and Ann Gray Dorman. Now on a whim, I will start a new branch, and create a another tree. I will research the name Martin C Gray until I can determine if there is a connection of any relationship of Martin C Gray to Ann Gray Dorman.
That is, if there is any relationship at all. But most likely, if you encounter a surname such as in this case, there may be a relationship, and that is why it is not to overlook the obvious. Just research, and explore! Those are the undiscovered mysteries that are great to search and learn, and uncover. It may or may not lead to anything. But it is worth a giving it a shot.
